Lesson 9 Review: The Foundation of God's Government

Lesson 9 The Foundation of God's Government

Introduction

Memory Text: “And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ” (Revelation 12:17, NKJV).

The foundation of God's Government is true, just and strict. Even as the governnent of this world protect the people from misbehaving, God wants man to be in unity both to God and His creatures.

What makes the government of God to stand firm?

God and His law is supreme to humanity, God's law to man brings about total submission from its creatures and there is no misbehavior. This is so that everyone will see God as eternal authority.

Did Jesus keep the law when He was on earth?

John 15:10. If ye keep My commandments, ye shall abide in My love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in His love.

Can God's law be corrected or changed?

Luke 16:17. And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.

What makes the light to Shine out from the most holy place?

when the priest presents his and the Israel's sin before the altar of mercy properly and God listens to their cry the light from the most holy place shines and the people see and rejoice for God to listen and accept them to Himself.

What did John saw when heaven was open?

when John was moved by the spirit of God and the heavens was open he saw the ark of God's covenant " The Two Tablet Of Stone".

Did Jesus Kept the Sabbath?

Luke 4:16. And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up and as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up for to read.

Why is the Devil so angry with God's Children in this End time?

Obeying God incites the devil's wrath against us but we overcome him by the blood of the Lamb. Satan does not want man to enjoy the gift God gave to man right from the beginning of creation.

Why should the three angels' messages be so important to God's children in this end time?

The three angels' messages are messages of orderliness and warning to every Christian whose heart is far from God, the solemn appeal is ongoing but it won't be forever.

In Conclusion,

In these last days the devil has compact and engage people into a negative business that people will not understand. Knowing the scheme and the plan of the devil will be very hard for people to understand until the Saviour's return. I pray may the Lord open our eyes in Jesus' name.

Lesson 8 Review: Light From the Sanctuary

Lesson 8 Light From the Sanctuary

Introduction

Memory Text: “We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, a Minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the Lord erected, and not man” (Hebrews 8:1,2, NKJV).

The cleansing of the heavenly sanctuary was the fulfillment of the cleansing of the earthly sanctuary. Here is the parallel between Daniel 7 and Daniel 8 that can help in understanding this truth,

Cleansing of the sanctuary

It is very important for us as a Christian to understand Christ work in the heavenly sanctuary, I think it will help us shape our lives in accordance to the will of God.

What two sanctuaries are outlined in Exodus 25:8, 9, 40 and Hebrews 8:1-6?

The one Moses built and the great original in heaven. The earthly sanctuary was made according to the pattern of the heavenly sanctuary. The “true tabernacle” in heaven is the sanctuary of the new covenant.

What sanctuary does the prophecy of 2,300 days in Daniel 8:14 refer to?

As the prophecy of Daniel 8:14 is fulfilled in this era, the sanctuary to which it refers must be the sanctuary of the new covenant, the sanctuary in heaven.

How are we free from the condemnation of sin?

We are free from the condemnation of sin because of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross of Calvary.

What other role does Jesus play apart from being the sacrificial Lamb for our sins?

Jesus’s sacrifice is not only the Lamb who died for us but also the Priest who lives for us making intercession for us.

why is the cleansing of the sanctuary so important?

the cleansing of the sanctuary was the fulfilment of the prophecy to those who believed in Christ Jesus.

what's the difference between earthly and heavenly sanctuary?

The different between the earthly sanctuary and heavenly sanctuary is that the earthly sanctuary was built by man and the heavenly sanctuary is built by God himself but the same ordinance are carried out.

why was the day of atonement so important to the ancient Israel?

this day was so important because all the sin of the children of God was cast upon scape goat (Azazel) representing Satan being the cause of sin, it was also known as the judgement day and the day to restore righteousness.

why do believers trust in God's judgement?

the essence of God's judgement is to bring equal justice to every human God created, no neutral ground is either we stand for righteousness or against God.

how are we to approach God in the sanctuary?

today's world is not different from that of the apostles where we, believers, are encouraged that approaching God in the sanctuary should be with boldness as the ultimate solution to those that are afflicted.

if God is the Judge, and Jesus our advocate, what good news does it bring to us?

Christ return to the earth will be an earth-shaking event to everyone both great and small, everyone will enter God's Court, and books or records of every human will be seen. For those who knew and stand for righteousness Christ will claim them as His children and set them free.

In Conclusion,

God has done everything possible that man should not experience eternal death since We cannot answer the charges of Satan against us. Eternal Life and death is but a choice to everyone. we must trust on God to help us and make the right decision in our lives. May we trust in God in Jesus' name.

Lesson 7 Review: Motivated by Hope

Lesson 7 Motivated by Hope

Introduction

Memory Text: “And it will be said in that day: ‘Behold, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He will save us. This is the Lord; we have waited for Him; we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation’ ” (Isaiah 25:9, NKJV).

One of the central images of Scripture is the second coming of Jesus, there has been an incredible number of references to this great event. After the reformation in Europe, Protestantism took root in the New World, among them was a Baptist farmer named William Miller who believed from his study that Jesus was coming soon, even in his lifetime that opened up to many people Bible truths that remain relevant to this day.

Why is the second coming of Christ such great hope for Christians?

In a world very familiar with pain, the hope of the second coming is such great hope for believers because it brings end to suffering, sorrow, death, pain. Hence even bible passages such as John 14:1-3, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, and Titus 2:11-14 contains encouragements of this hope.

What did popular nineteenth-century preachers teach?

They taught that Christ will come to establish His kingdom on earth and usher in 1,000 years of peace.

What did the teaching of the nineteenth-century preachers lead to?

It led to spiritual lethargy and an apathetic commitment to spiritual values.

What similitude to this misunderstanding of the Messiah’s coming do we find in Scriptures?

Christ’s disciples misunderstood the nature of the Messiah’s coming. They thought that He would come as a conquering general who would break the yoke of Roman bondage, not One who would deliver them from the condemnation and shackles of sin. Thus, they failed to understand the manner of His coming.

What contrast can we find between Christ’s first and second coming?

Christ came the first time as a Babe in Bethlehem, very few discerned His coming, but the second coming all eyes shall see Him and behold His glory.

What is one of the most solemn and yet most glorious truths revealed in the Bible?

One of the most solemn and yet most glorious truths revealed in the Bible is that of Christ’s second coming to complete the great work of redemption.

What is the urgent appeal of the message of Christ’s second coming?

The message of Christ’s soon return is an urgent appeal to each one of us to examine ourselves hearts and evaluate our spiritual lives. It is a call to godly living.

What was William Miller’s model for studying the Bible?

By comparing scripture with scripture, William Miller allowed the Bible to explain itself. He searched as one searching for hidden treasure.

What are some of the symbols made clear by the Bible itself?

Beasts represents kings or kingdoms (Dan. 7:17, 23).

Wind represents destruction (Jer. 49:36)

Water represents peoples or nations (Rev. 17:15).

A woman represents the church (Jer. 6:2, Eph. 5:22-32).

Time prophecies of Daniel and Revelation also are given in symbolic language, with one prophetic day representing one literal year (Num. 14:34, Ezekiel 4:6).

What did William Miller discover regarding what he believed to be the timing of Christ’s return?

After William Miller observed that events predicted by the prophets such as Daniel’s 70-week prophecy was fulfilled, he studied the prophecies studying specifically about the 2300 days or years that ends with the cleansing of the sanctuary. He understood that the 70 weeks in Daniel 9 was cut off from the 2300 days, he also wrongly understood the cleansing of the sanctuary to mean the purification of the earth by fire, he understood that the starting point for the 70 week prophecy which was “ ‘from the going forth of the command to restore and build Jerusalem’ ” (Dan. 9:25, NKJV) was also the starting point for the 2,300 day prophecy.

When did the 70-week prophecy end?

A.D. 34 AD

What is the summary of the 2,300-day prophecy?

The 70-week prophecy ended in A.D. 34, but there is a one week at the end of the seventy week. In the middle of the one week the Messaih Jesus Christ will be crucified, at the beginning of the week, Christ was born and at the end of that week, the gospel moved to the gentiles. Subtracting the 490 years (70 weeks) from the 2,300 days, we are left with 1, 810 years, which leads us to 1844 when the sanctuary is cleansed.

In Conclusion,

A clear understanding of the Bible is very important to avoid disappointments. However, the hope that we all have as Christians is that pain will be over. May we experience this life free of pain and sorrow in Jesus’ name.

Lesson 6 Review: The Two Witnesses

Lesson 6 The Two Witnesses

Introduction

Memory Text: “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever” (Isaiah 40:8, NKJV).

The Christians, many years ago, who believed in God's word were tortured, imprisoned, harassed and killed yet the hope of Christ in them was a kindles fire that could never be quenched by anyone. Even today, amidst trials our hearts should long for the beautiful Zion.

what inspired Tyndale to spread the word of God despite tough times?

though Tyndale was attacked for holding up the truth, that was not the end of the case, his superior backup was the power that called him to the tasks he held up to. The Roman bishop who burnt up the Bible thought he burnt up the truth not knowing that God had raised up his prophets to continue from where Tyndale stopped.

who are the two witnesses and what are their roles to play?

we see the two witnesses as the word of God, both old and new testaments. While many Christians will reject the Old Testament writings and accept the New Testament, the Word of God both the New and Old Testament are just and true and gives light to everyone who believes in God. In this dark world of evil, The light of God's word sets us free from evil.

What are some of the teachings today, that are based on tradition and not on the Word of God?

The greatest deception of mankind that ever came upon man came when the Bible was held up by the Roman Bishop and the light of God's word was hidden for a while. The deception we see today in Christendom is a result of God's word being taken away from the people. The absence of God's word, caused all kinds of false teachings to creep into the church but thanks be to God that the truth prevails.

How were the two witnesses killed?

the manifestation of God's word written in Bible prophecies is clear, Daniel understood what would befall God's word. God was declared nonexistent, and death was pronounced to be an endless sleep. Satan worked through godless men to kill God’s two witnesses and the hope of God's people was buried along the way but God remains faithful.

How did God resurrect the two witnesses?

God’s Word may be attacked or suppressed but it will never be eradicated. The light that was quenched got brighter than before vanishing away darkness, God raised up men and women such as Luther, William Carey, who were committed to taking the gospel to the ends of the earth. The more the word of God was burnt the more it was printed again for its purpose.

what triumphant event took place when the truth revived?

Despite the attacks of the enemy, God’s work on earth will come to a glorious climax. The gospel will be preached to “every nation, tribe, tongue, and people" and those who love Jesus and serve Him with passion will always be ready to give their best to the Gospel of our Lord Jesus to be preached in every Generation.

In conclusion,

God has done everything possible to bring man closer to Himself but the power of darkness is also trying to separate man from God. Apostle Paul in his writing asked, "What can separate us from the love of God is it sickness, sin, torture, pains, hardship?" Nothing can separate us from God because He who calls us to Himself is faithful and merciful to fulfill His promises in our lives. Even so we pray in Jesus' name.
